Default Wicked 7 Second Twin Turbo TC78 Trans Am - Street Car!

This thing is REALLY sick! It's owned/built by an LS1TECH member who goes by 'LS2Formula'.

422ci LSX motor, twin TC78 turbos, air-to-water intercooler...
So far it's gone a best of 7.9 @ 177 mph.

The video of this car has already been posted in the 'forced induction' section, but this is kinda the 'central' area for video, so I figured I'd post it here too.

More pictures and video here (or click the pictures below)...

I notice a lot of turbo cars run those tiny filters. I am curious if the car would pick up any significant power with larger filters/ no filters.

He only drives it around town with the filters on. When it is raced the filters are removed. He put on some elbows on the turbos to get some air above the radiator instead of sucking hot air behind the radiator to keeps the iat's down

Agreed. Street cars FTW. The car also has drag radials on it, not slicks, 1.25 60ft.

This car is what I want to follow. I don't expect to go as fast but I want to build an 8 sec street car. We have guys around here with huge big blocks with 15:1 compression in gutted cars running mid 9's and think they are fast. I got in an argument with one of them one night because he has a rail running very high 8's. He proceeds to tell me "this 555 bbc is no joke, it will make a man out of you in this rail". I proceed to tell him "You know what kind of people build rails? The ones who can't make a car go fast. That turned his *** more red than a beet!

Anybody can build a full fledged drag car. Hell, my grandmother can build a drag car. Building a stupid fast street car is something else. To be able to cruise around town with the a/c on and go to the store, then go to the track and click off some 8 sec passes then drive home is the ultimate ****!
