Default C Clips on transmission cooler lines...how to remove??

Any tips or special tools available for removing the c clips used on later 4L60 transmission cooler lines??

I have a little room to work with and was hoping there was a quick release tool or trick to getting these off fairly easy.

Thanks in advance

Orilley sells a 4 peice pick set ( 90 deg,45,15, and stright) for about 10-15.00 with the differant angle you will find one to hook the clips, look close as to how the clips are installed . when replaceing the lines insert the clops first then just push the lines in
good luck, Johnny

I always just use a tiny screw driver and a magnet.

A basic pick set is good enough for the job, just carefully pull up on the very end of the clip with one hand ready to retrieve it. If you are reusing your clip make sure you don't strecth it out of shape. When you reinstall your clip make sure your clip is seated well in the slots then just give it a light pull test and then slide your plastic retainer over the clip and start check it for leaks.

Getting them off was always easy (small flathead). Losing them when they popped off was the real problem. That, and getting them back on.
