Blower is an eaton M90 off an old T-bird. Similar displacement V8 retrofits saw 5-7psi off a stock pulley single. 5psi would be perfect for this engine. I could possibly step the pulley down one size and still be within the RPM band of the M90 using the stock LS1 balancer. Due to the locations and general shape, an intercooler could be installed later if I felt it was necessary. For not its non-IC. Ive been battling between BOV or SC bypass valve systems for a while too. About a week ago I read an article about upgrading stock crappy bypass valves to a bypass system using a BOV, so theres a BOV in my system. To switch, I simply run a hose from the vent to a port to somewhere in the intake before the compressor. Id rather not to keep heat under control, but I will if the BOV sound gets annoying

Anyways, figured some people wouuld enjoy a build thread

Oiling system is self contained in the snout. I replaced the drive coupler and changed it when I did an overhaul. Gawd thats some stinky stuff

I havent ran it with the intake attached, only fabbed the last bit for the picture. Id rather wait till the car is at the tuners before hooking everything up

That's pretty cool man! I used to have a Thunderbird Super Coupe that this SC came from and it definitely was not that loud. I hope it's just something to do with the more open intake and not something more serious inside the unit. You'll want to look into an intercooler for sure, those M90s throw out some heat even with a stock pulley. They don't call them Heatons for nothing haha.

Keep us updated though, that's pretty awesome and a very cheap setup! As someone above me asked, have you gotten any power numbers yet?

Tune is set for friday. We'll see

Similar displacement V8 swaps saw 5-7psi

Single M90 for this engine, twin for the racecar. If I need to go bigger, a tray and collector extension is all thats required to fit a M112 on there. I havent ported this case yet either, alot of power can be had from a proper outlet port job, most of which Im not interested in
