I was driving to work today and my car started missing really badly. It does it mostly when you press on the gas in a higher gear and the engine has to pull a little bit harder at first. But it is a bad miss, I mean it hesitates like no one's business. It has 52k miles on it and the 918 springs have about 25k miles on them. I do not take it to the track at all, so I don't think these would be worn out yet. I am not a mechanic by any means, so the only thing I really know how to do on my own is check to make sure all 8 spark plug wires are connected. I can't do that yet because I am at work but outside of this, what could be my problem? Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and if there are details that I left out that need to be included please let me know. Thanks!

FSUNole17, most of the time a miss under load is due to a ignition issue. Do you have a check engine light on?

easiest way to find out is to scan it. Parts stores do it for free. Could be a few different things.

Sorry Kris, I didn't know my sig wasn't working. It is a 2002 TA M6. The SES light is not on. Ya, I grew up in Grassland. Lived here my whole life.

So even if the SES light isn't on, will the scan tool still pick up misses? If so, does it tell specifically what it is or would it just say "Misfire on cylinder 6" and then I would have to investigate further?

...yeh, scan it. Probably one of three things; ignition, ignition, ignition. Check the harness cable/connection from the coils, plug wires, etc.
