Default Ferrari 599XX - Would you buy a car you couldn't take home?

Street ILL-legal Ferrari, 722 hp. Yum!

Would you buy a car you couldn't take home? Owners of the 599XX are only allowed to drive it at Ferrari sanctioned events!

i love those things. one of the sickest looking cars ive seen imo. if i had that kind of money to be able to afford one, id probably just throw a plate on there and drive it anyway lol.

They are Ferrari afterall so they can get away with a bit more of this kind of attitude, but I've always thought this was a bit too pretentious.

If I can only borrow the car they can only borrow the money. That's ridiculous.

Yes, because if I have that kind of money, I can buy plenty of other badass cars to enjoy everyday. Any Zonda = The 599XX sounds insane though.

Well alot of the richy rich guys have cars they cannot drive on the street. There isnt many people with **** you money that are into street racing. As much as it annoys us that there is a car you can buy but not drive, these guys are happy to do so. ******* ponderous.

I hate...hate hate...crap like that. That's just retarded. Cool car but if i had the money to **** away and buy one I'd name it 'Mutiny' and do a cross-country tour and show up at all sorts of NON-Ferrari events and youtube it with plenty of pictures and do whatever it took to get it on PINKS, etc. I'd ***** it out to the public, to summarize.

On a side note, when i scrolled down the page quickly i thought the rear-end picture was of a GTR at first till i took a second look.

I believe this car ran the best time around the Top Gear track....by far. And is yet to be topped.

I think the car would look a lot better without the little wing things near rear glass/trunk. I see a new import fad originating with those in the near future.

How often are the events allowing you to drive it?

You can make it street legal though, someone did it to a blue FXX.

For the record, the 599XX and the FXX are two very different cars. And if I had wipe-my-***-with-hundreds money, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Exactly. Most people who buy cars like this rarely, if ever, drive them. So only having the ability to drive them at specific events probably doesn't make much of a difference to them.

They have said that was the only car they ran on race slicks, so the time will not count.

Haha, yes, that's how I feel too. Why would I pay a boat load of money for something I can only use when some other people say I'm allowed to?

Not sure if you are implying the top list are only race cars and the bottom list are street legal? But the Ultima is street legal.

This

Built to a very high level of quality for under 100 grand in your garage, street legal and running on street tires can beat the nice but ridiculously overpriced and overrated Ferrari.

Ferrari can build a great machine, but their **** you attitude of "you are lucky if we let you own one of our cars" that they have is a joke!

The 599xx is an awesome machine but I would take this instead. Its a bit more useful on the street.
