Default Trans am and Firebird rear hatch

This seems like the right spot to put this as it would fall under body work. I have a 95 Trans am and the back window is chipped and looks ugly. Now i have found a guy that has a firebird hatch with the low spoiler and coming from a third gen trans am i know swapping the back panel was not too hard. But new to the fourth generations can anyone tell me how hard the glass is to swap? I want to remove both back panels and swap the firebird glass onto my car and put the back panel and spoiler onto it. Also the firebird glass is like 95-98 not sure, pretty sure its an exact fit.

Again i have done this with third gens where its a couple bolts and some black tar sealent which wasnt to bad.

Thanks in advance.

The glass is the same on all the 4th gen rear hatches.

somebody else will have to chime in on the sploiler, I'm 92.85% sure that T/A spoiler and the low profile firebird spolier have different mounting holes.

I dont want to just change the spoiler i want to change the whole back panel where the spoilers sit. Also it looks like the firebird spoiler is the whole back hatch.

Yes... they have the same glass. The firebird spoiler is built in to the hatch and can not be removed.

The picture i attached i circled the part i want to know if its hard to take that part off the window and switch it with the part from the t/a (not just the spoiler but what the spoiler is sitting on both firebird and trans am). hopefully this clears things up.

You can not take that off and switch it with a TA. The formula hatch is all built together. You can swap the glass or the whole hatch

Ok, I think that is my answer the glass will come apart from the spoiler on a firebird.

Thank you.

The epoxy used for rear hatch is tough. It is part of the cars support it would be netter to find a ta glass and wing. Or have a glass company put one in for you but oem is better

Fill out a request on junkyarddogs.com. you're in TX so you should have quite a few there.

if i was closer to being able to afford paint, i'd offer to do a trade. i'd rather have the firebird spoiler than the T/A, so a swap would be cool with me.

if you wouldn't mind doing some cash on top, send me a PM. if you're interested i'll get some pics for you. i'm in houston, so it wouldn't be too hard to drive and meet you, if you're still in SA.
