Yes you can adjust the cable, there is a plastic connection area with a clip you can undo. When you unsnap the clip you can change the length of the cable, follow your cable from the throttle body and you will find it under the hood.

What about if you don't have traction control? How do you adjust it then?

I am having an issue with my car after I installed a built LS3 into my 2001 Camaro SS. My cable is about 1/2 inch too long now.

I had this issue. I bought the Lokar LS1 throttle cable replacement, it has an adjustable piece that allows you to feed more cable through the piece that goes on the throttle body cable guide. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to secure it to the pedal, since it doesn't have the same type of end on the cabin side.

In the mean time, (brace yourself) I used a zip tie wrapped around the cable and dremeled down on the pedal side to take some of the slack out.

as ghetto as it sounds, you put a spacer on the wire on the top of the pedal.

this spacer could be a simple as one or more zip ties (common)
or a clip on piece of plastic..
or some cool overkill spacer made on a lathe.
all the same concept.. take up the slack above the throttle pedal.
