Default 5.3 bored and stroked to 383 and boosted 1000hp

I was thinking about getting a 5.3 block and using Callis 383 rotating assembly and boosting it to 900 to 1000hp. Can the 5.3 iron block handle this?
I have a ls1 block but I dont think it will last very long at this power level. I know the 6.0 block will handle this but 5.3 blocks are cheap and this is a cheap 1000hp budget build...lol

I know it's not gonna be cheap cheap but I'm not buyin something I don't need. Basically can the 5.3 block handle that amount of power being a 383?

Are you talking about boring the 5.3 out to 5.7 specs and adding a 4 inch crank?

How much meat is left after the bore? I know it has been done for na, but not sure if the walls get too thin, specially for 1000 Hp.

well 346ci would be harder to make the 1k, and spool up will be a bit slower. I had a buddy with a ls1 383 with around 800hp and was fine and is still running good, so maybe just use the ls1 with a 4inch crank and boost it, but I kinda want iron block tho for peace of mind...lol

I think i'd rather build a 390, shorter stroke you end up with a stronger crank

No, stock crank + bore out the 5.3 block to LS1 specs.

Our 390ci engine is 6.0 iron block, 4.030" bore, 3.825" stroke.

Shipping, $150 to a business throughout most of the country for a shortblock, Seattle WA is $200, highest price I've seen.

Is the Ls1 bkock really that weak? I was looking one over the other day, and the cyl's seem to be pretty beefy and are siameesed.

That's a good price for that short block and shipped but I don't wanna built a ls1 block and have a cylinder warp or crack on me and wreck the motor
