theres a bunch of us doing these swaps, but what you're going to need is

-motor mount adapters
-motor and trans
-wiring harness and pcm
-exhaust
-new fuel tank with a FI pump, or a tanks inc pump
-vats removed

and than whatever else u wanna do to ur car. idk if anyone has done an ls3 yet, but there has been a few ls2's, a bunch of ls1 and vortech swaps.

Did one in a 1981 T/A, you can look at my post. There are a few more guys doing 79-80 T/A. Waiting on my interior, and will be adding the turbo soon!

Your car should have the factory posi unit already, run that. Stock axles are stronger than you would think. Add c-clip eliminators if anything but, if this isn't a race car and running 10's, I wouldn't worry about any of it other than having the posi.(or as GM called it "limited-slip diffriential") The "Corporate 10 bolt" that was put in our 2nd Gen's didn't get any love because the 1st, 3rd and 4th Gen 10 bolts are weak, hence the stigma. They're pretty stout, especially with aftermarket parts. Keep us posted.
