I have a factory zr2 rearend i want to swap in my 2002 s10 2x4 ls2 project and my question is will i have proper offset if i was to pick up some c6 corvette wheels? I like these rearends because of their strenght, gears and a locker but i'm a little worried the rear tires might stick out too far. I know this has to of been tried before.

From what I have seen, the 2wd S10's came with wheels that have a low offset (rwd) and the 4wd blazers/S10's came with wheels that have a high offset (fwd). I read somewhere that the offset for the 4wd wheels is 50mm. If thats the case, that is perfect for the axle you have since their wheels have high offsets. You would need a spacer up from to bring out the wheels though due to the higher offset.

Anyone else have thoughts?

the zr2 the 2wd rear? i know 2wd s10's need adapters to run vette wheels, generally 2 inch, but if its 4wd, none at all i think. i had c6 wheels on my s10 xtreme, and had 2 inch up front and 2.5 in the rear, but the tires were 295 30/19 on a 19x10 rim.. check out s10forum.com... its free too, lots of info

2.5 spacers on the rear witha stock axle would be perfect since my zr2 rear measures 5" wider than than the orignal rearend. thanks! Anyone here actually tried it?

pics... i ran 2inch up front and 2.5 out back.. i recommend stepping up to 2.5 and 3 inch on 2wd s10 platform.. but ZR2 s10's I think were all 4wd, which will make your offset different..oh tires are 245 45 18's(fr), 295 30/19(rr)-26 inch tire didnt ruin speedo..oh and those are OEM's powdercoated gloss black


and oem SS ten spokes with 2 inch adpaters. tires 275 40 17 all around..

The ZR2 rear is NOT the same as the regular 4x4 rear! It is about 2" inches wider per side and is an 8.5" 10-bolt as opposed to the 7.5" that all other S10/Blazer/etc came with! So giving him comparisons with a 2wd or 4wd rear will not be the same unless giving him comparisons from a true ZR2 rear.
That being said, I would just try the spacers in the front, as you may not need them in the rear with the wider width.
