Default Strano parts

Anyone else get bit by Strano's advertising of shipping included, in the price of his springs?

Not the case! Got charged shipping anyway!!

I agree. Strano has a rep for having excellent customer service. He might have fixed it for you.

The 249 price does not include shipping, the price there only included shipping when it was 279.

Yeah, he posted a while ago that he was lowering the price but the new price didn't include shipping. Must just be something that he forgot to take off of the site.

I'd definitely call before making a thread about it....

Why call when you can just complain? I'm sorry, I missed a footnote on the site. The previous price was $275 shipped, that changed (and was well documented here among other places months ago) to $249 plus shipping.

It's fixed. Sorry that it was still there on the featured product page. But it said nothing like that on the normal order page, and historically you could not order from the featured product page. The web designer change that and I was not aware of, or that I had forgotten to erase the footnote.

Had you called me I would have worked it out with you. I'm a little surprised (though maybe I should learn not to be) that people want to just complain instead of working with another human to resolve things.

Was almost just the opposite. I have not dealt with strano in the past, in this case I was getting a feel from members of this site who may have had experience here. If it would be worth my time to make that call or if it was a mistake on the site. Look how quickly I had gotten a response, and from the source. So it goes to show social networks actually work.

Yes, responses on this site are usually pretty quick. However, Sam replied about 1 1/2 hours after you posted....a call usually takes about 30 seconds....unless he's busy and can't get your call right away, which one's quicker?

Plus, with a call, you keep it between you and the sponsor....not on this forum.

So... the new, lower price is $249 plus about $20 shipped (FedEx quote) to one of Pennsylvania's bordering states vs $275 shipped to anywhere?

Sweet! A $5 savings if I'm very local. Sucks to be you, California.

MISSFIT, I don't think you would have received a deal anyway. Look at it this way, you're going to use springs designed by someone who's won 13 NCAA auto-x championships! (or something)

It was because people were saying they were too expensive or something, because they didn't realize how expensive shipping was. Now it comes out pretty close, but yeah....it was a good deal before as well.

You got a relevant answer 12 minutes after posting. You got an answer "from the source" an hour and 3 minutes after posting. A phone call is less than a minute....5-15 minutes of talking thereafter. Your argument is invalid. Quit backtracking, you handle the situation in a bad way (although not wrong per se) and got called on it. Learn and move on.
