sealant/loctite on flexplate to crank bolts?

Rule of thumb....if it goes into steel loctite is fine, if it goes into aluminum, anti-seize is right. Since the crank is steel then loctite is cool. I tend to use the blue medium strength for most things. Never had a bolt back out using that.

I have never used a thread sealer on flywheel to crankshaft bolts and have never had an issue of them backing out. Just torque to specs, but it wouldn’t hurt anything if you want the added insurance of using a thread sealer.
