lq4 once main and rod bolts are removed can they b reused?

Default lq4 once main and rod bolts are removed can they b reused?

i got a block a few weeks ago im gonna take the pan off td and i want to check wat the bearing look like. can i take the main and rod caps check the bearings and then just reinstall them using the same bolts?

Yep, they'll be fine. Just pay attention to which rod bolts you have, there are two different torque specs depending on the type of bolt.

how do i know which type it is???

IIRC, the difference is in the shank of the bolt in between the threads and the head.

One looks like this (the bolt on the right)...



...and the other type looks like a regular bolt.

Off of the top of my head, I can't remember which one gets torqued more, but I know I've seen it in one of the LS1 books floating around out there.
