Default How to install racing seats?

There are a lot of very nice looking racing seats on ebay, jegs, and summit racing that I'm considering buying, but how do you get them to work in our cars? Do you have to use the factory tracks and drill them into the racing seat, or are there special brackets you need to buy depending on the seat?

These look nice for the money....

Buy seats from 6 Liter Eater...he's a sponsor and sells brackets that allow his seats to be bolt in.

Here are some pics of mine.

I used Corbeau seats and they make brackets specifically for F-bodies. Once they got the bracket right they bolted right in (took like 20min total).

You can get 6LE seats that he makes brackets for. He also has a write up for how to install any other seats using factory brackets. It's easy to do, about 2 hours of work from taking your stock seats out to putting in new ones.
6LE brackets have more R&D since they are made for fbodies and you will be able to slide the seat back further than stock rails. It useful if you are tall n generally makes easy to get into seats since the side bolsters don't exactly let you slide in.

they are probably only 20lbs less for both combined (the stock rails are heavy) and the back seat only weighs like 10lbs..... the ony racing seat for those is to just take them out

i have corbeaus also and i got the rails that they provide. all you need is a ratcheting wrench and your good for the install

Does anybody have the link to the write up for installing the seats? I'd love to buy from 6LE but don't have that kind of cash to play with. I'm going to have to use either my stock rails or make the universal sliders they come with work.

There are a lot of "universal" brackets on ebay, summit racing, ect... instead of fabbing my own brackets to mount the factory rails (which would be easy anyway) Is there a specific bracket I can just buy? How do you know which one to get?

Also what do you do for a seat belt? If I buy a racing harness, how do they install / secure?
