Default The best ways to lighten a 4th gen F body.

Where are some of the best places to start after removing AC lines, hoses, condenser, and the AIR pump?

You can ditch the rear seats if you want (10 pounds maybe), put in lightweight carpet (30 pounds I heard), and get rid of all the sound insulation (gotta be 20 pounds worth of it).

Don't forget the spare tire/jack... obviously one of the first things to go. I know there is a write-up somewhere abouts with a list of everything that can be removed, and it's weight. But I don't think it's on LS1tech.

I don't think I'd remove the spare tire/jack if the car is a daily driver. Eventually you'll need it.

definetly if daily driven do not remove the spare tire and jack cause its better to be safe than sorry. but when you go to the track, if you know someone who is gonna be there spectating you can take it out at the track or if you're going alone, take it out before going to the track

Depends on the Chassis you start with. Mine weighed 3350lbs, and that was stock Hardtop. I removed the Smog Pump, AIR Stuff, Rear Seats, shortened the exhaust, and removed the AC System. I upgraded to LS1 Big Brakes, and Eiback springs, so all the weight came back. Depends on what you do..
