Default v1 d1s 55w hid conversion HOW TO

ok im sick of searching. i want a 55w ballast that will plug into the factory harness where do i buy? what else do i need for 55w lows? can i run 55w ballasts on 35w bulbs? i called ddm tuning and they were no help at all. but they did say i can run factory style 35w bulbs w 55w ballasts which i have a hard time believing. do i need some sort of battery harness? whats the easiest and cheapest and fastest way to get this done? I'd prefer replies from people who have done this or can give me definitive, factual answers not just "i think...." lol sorry maybe im just half retarded but i have been searching this for too long with no luck and am annoyed lol. any help would be EXTREMELY appreciated

furthermore, will this work?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Xenon-HID-He...sories&vxp=mtr

I've seen a factory HID to aftermarket ebay HID conversion on CF. I'd go that same route, but use 55w on both ballast and bulb. I wouldn't gamble on 55w ballasts with 35w bulbs.

55W and 35W bulbs are the same, and can handle the power thrown at it.

The light color will change as a result. Increased power decreases the light color.

I found this out when I plugged in 55W ballasts to 35W bulbs, the color shifted from 6000K to 5000K.

With the factory 4300K lamps, the effect may be less visible. Perhaps down to 4200-4000K.

I stuck these 6K Xenon HID bulbs in stock ballasts with these fog 5K bulbs/hid ballasts (in ebay clear fogs), these 6K running light LED bulbs (in headlights) & got this color:

Took some more photos with different combos & a lil darkening to get less glare.

HL + RL:

Fog + RL only:

RL only (you can see more of the blue huish to it, but it is NOT BLUE BLUE):

I am asking if anyone knows of a 55 watt hid ballast that will plug and play into the factory ballast harness, would really like to stay away from soldering and modifying the factory headlight wiring. I know ppl have converted to 55 watt low beams and high beams and even fogs but am wondering if there's a plug and play ballast

Ssin, I don't know about 55w vs 35w, but I'm telling you, the link I put up for those 5k bulbs are a nice white & match pretty nicely with the my fog hids & led running light. When I first put in my hid fogs, I couldn't stand how yellow the low beams/running light were compared to the fogs. Granted after I put in the new D1S xenon bulbs on the stock headlight ballasts, they're not exact EXACT match, but I am VERY happy with the colors & brightness. I like them WAY more than stock & I like that they're not BLUE like some people's lights.

Now, if your current ballasts aren't any good, then this is all moot . . .
