Have you used the HTP? 
I'm a Miller fan as well (I have a 252 Mig, as well as an old school BlueStar 2E). But I have been very happy with the HTP 201.
The Miller has the advantage on:
-AC Frequency - HTP 201 max at 200Hz, I think the 200DX goes to 250
-120 volt capability - HTP won't do it
-I think the 200DX is a little lighter, therefore more portable
HTP has the advantage on price. Plus you can email Jeff at HTP any of your stupid questions, at any time, and he'll answer them.
At least that's been my experience.
I told myself to keep it within a budget, so the HTP setup allowed me to meet my budget constraints and still get an inverter based, water-cooled setup.

Yep, and the lincoln v-205t also... neither had the same arc, I fell in love with the dynasty, not it's pricetag.. That is definately +1 to the HTP. I have found miller to be amazing with customer service. Lincoln let me down, and they wont get my business because of it.
And the 120 v on the dynasty is the cats meow, I had to do a stainless steel sink repair in a kitchen on the 4th floor of a hospital one time. No 220 volt outlets, all hardwired. No way to plug into my engine drive, carried my dynasty in, set it up with a mini 60 cuft argon tank with a Y splitter, Made a quick cardboard back purge and tigged the sink back together. It had split a seam 36" long, even though it was 14 gauge.
Ive gotten quite a few jobs that other shops were ill equipped for.

Wow old thread brought back. Anyways one more in for miller. I bought a diversion 165 and have been very happy with it. I barely use it, but when i did was was very happy with it. I really need to add a good footpedal tho. Scroll wheel is very difficult to learn on. I think my tigging would improve x100.

I have used just about every brand over the years and would always take a Miller. A dynasty is just an awesome welder..
2000 SS... you can weld aluminum DC. It just has to be clean. Using helium or A25 will def improve your chances of success. You can lay an great incredibly small, clean, good weld. Do it almost daily. But for the majority of hobbiest I would recommend AC.

absolutly, but none of our local welding supply stores stock anything but straight argon or 75/25 or tri-mix.
