I have a 05 V and im trying to figure out if these cars are actually tracked number wise?? I assume so because I know there was 3509 of these made in 05 out of Michigan & my last 4 of Vin is 3449 so im seeing if this is a accurate way to track which car you have.. because i have a Rare GMC syclone that only has 26K original miles on it and its #50 off assembly line and vin read 0050 so was just trying to see if this applied to the same for v's.. thanks guys

I'm guessing the last four weren't relevant to the production number..Just happened to be like that on my truck. Wish we could track these cars. I did have a guy at a meet tell me that mine should have been one of the first 100 because i didnt have a sunroof? not to sure where he got that info from.

from what i have heard over the years is dealers just preferred to order them with sunroofs in hopes of increasing the mark up.. + its pretty mush expected a 50k car will have a sunroof..

Maybe start with the date of production? A rock has more sense...

Can't be tracked numberwise if there are 6xxx and 7xxx in the VINs on 05s, can it?

MY 2004 CTS-V total = 2461 (retail = 2454, fleet = 7)
MY 2005 CTS-V total = 3508 (retail = 3483, fleet = 25)
