Default knock sensors?

Do you use them on a carb application? Do they have to be installed?

They serve only as a eye sore.

If you were to do something like use the stock computer to run the ignition then you could use them, but the MSD box has no way of using them.

I'm using MSD box. Do I need to plug the holes in the block with something, install them, just no wiring, or does it matter?

My first rodeo with a LSX based engine.

I have the same question. I new I didn't need them, but do you just remove them from the block or leave them in and just don't hook em up?

You can just leave them in there, it won't make any difference either way.

Pick up an msd knock sensor box around 230.00 i think and plug them into that, mine works great, you dont want detonation and you should monitor it . I blew up an engine that way. Expensive lesson learned. Some say you can hear knocking but with a modified engine and loud exhaust good luck hearing it.

I also have an MSD knock sensor that I have used on past carb applications. It works well. Eric L
