Default 88mm turbo 5.3 blow thru camaro

almost completed, i know a t6 88mm turbo is to big for this combo but a 100 shot should help and the 5.3 is just a tuning/ test dummy i dont expect a long life span ,building a 6 liter

yeah it looks a little smaller with that 5" inlet pipe, its going to be a street strip car.I was just getting sick and tired of my bbc 468 always running hot and always having problems, this day and age turbos the only way to go. Also has air to air intercooler and meth injection cause i want to run mostly on 91 octane.

Interested in seeing the results. I live just up the road from you in Prescott. I had a blow through for a couple of years got sick of messing with jets and the ford ****. I am putting a 5.3 into my mustang but with a smaller turbo. I'd like to check your car out sometime.

Everything was built by myself, nothing was sent out. Some of it isnt the most professional looking but i dont care lol. Oh and more less everything you see is used, either off ebay or local classifieds only gaskets, head studs, carb hat, ebay valve covers are new

Ok, so you guys must be up around Ottawa way. LSX74, is that a stock truck oil pan? Have you driven the vehicle yet and if so how does it feel and how is the spool?

Chiaj144. IIRC you were looking at a S480 to purchase. I saw that on another forum. Did you end up getting one?

On the final stages of assembly havent had it running yet ,but i am assuming its going to be laggy and not going to spool the greatest. The guy I bought the turbo off said it would be best suited for a around 400 cubic inch engine. I bought the turbo before the lsx idea came.I was going to originally use the turbo my 468 bbc but it would be too small. Right now the 5.3 is a test dummy for tuning blow thru and mock up. I was thinking on getting a t6 to t4 adapter and getting a cheap t4 turbo until i build the 6 liter (stroker kit?)but why waste money, thats where some nitrous comes in to play. The oil pan is a truck oil pan. I was going to to the gm muscle car oil pan thing but i herd alot of guys having problems with clearance with inner tierods and my car isnt lowered and with a turbo engine i wanted to keep the 6 liter oil capacity. I had the oil pan anyway so instead of taking a chance and spending over 200 dollars and buying the swap oil pan that might not fit i took that money and got a pure argon tank and a aluminium conversion kit for my welder and welded the pan. It fits like a glove.
