what are peoples thoughts....should i go with the prc 215s or the advanced inductions 243s

What's your budget? What are your goals? Cam? Lots of questions that have to be answered before we can help you. PRC 215's are top of the line heads. The AI heads are more of a budget head, but yeild great results. Is heads/cam the end all be all, or do you plan on going FI?

^^ I agree more info needed, but if budget isn't a problem definately go prc's between the two!!!

Have you seen the cost of AI full port work for 243s? Hardly what I would call a "budget head" when you figure in the cost of sourcing a good set of 243's, or buying them new....

the AI heads are very nice,i am going to be doing this head,cam combo and installing it for him.After not being able to call and talk to someone at AI,i wont email all the things i want to have answered,would be much easier if i could simply call.So after not getting the info from AI i needed i decided the prc215's would be a much better setup for this combo,givin the standard 62cc chambers.I dont want to sacrifice the ptv clearance with milling as were gonna use a thinner head gasket already for a better quench.Installing a streetsweeper high torque cam at the same time.Should be a sick combo,i want to check out a couple other head options first

I have stock ls1 short block 346 cu in. With 215 prc heads worked at cnc performance fast 102/102 and 233/239 112 lsa cam made 475rwhp and 421rwtq through a a4

the prc 215s are a nice set of heads i was goin to run them but i did the AI 226 243 heads instead one of the biggest reasons i didn't run the prc 215s is the price

I honestly don't care too much about budget I'm looking quality..the motor is stock except for slp airbox and pacesetter long tubes no cats gmmg exhaust with qtp cut out. Like retail said we will. E installing the streetsweeper high torque..from my understandings it's a sick cam..my friend runs it in his 02 z06 with ported ls6 heads and runs 440rwhp

I agree with this....

But as far as AI, I bought a set of their 226cc 799s, or rather sent my 799s in, and the work was outstanding. I emailed back and forth over the course of a couple of weeks and we covered all the details as we went. Couldn't have asked for a better overall experience. Hell they milled my heads during the weekend. They got them Friday afternoon, and they were back on the truck headed to me by Monday or Tuesday....I had $400 in my heads and $995 for the port work. I think that is the best $1395 you can spend on a set of cylinder heads for an LS1.

I am going to have my 853's ported by AI, they are on their way there now. I am going for the 219cc HCR port job.

I sell the highest end machine work available to the public. It may be a budget head, but it is most assuredly not budget work.

Not spending $ on castings, valves, etc. when the OEM parts are as good or superior is how the pricing is so low - all of your $ goes into the one thing that makes the difference in the end, which is the machine work applied. Most guys like the OEM head in street cars since they don't add weight above the CG, don't have bronze guides which exhibit a fraction of the OEM guide life, work well with OE rockers (the best HR rocker available), and tend to have much lighter valves. With aftermarket heads generally performing no better than a GM head w/ good machine work, it is tough to compete with them when most guys just want a long term reliable hot rod. Exactly what Greg said. The problem with most people "like what rise of the phoenix replied" is, they don't speak from experience. They speak from stupidity. AI is far from a budget head and I would put my bankroll on it they would net more gains than the PRC if the same work was being done.

IMO its very hard to compare a stock casting head to an aftermarket casting head. If you are looking for a top of the line ported aftermarket casting the PRC 215s are a great way to go. The smaller runner, smaller combustion chamber and larger valve combination make it very hard for a stock ported casting to keep up, especially in the low end. Our heads are designed to accept a stock rocker, so that is not a worry. If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to get a hold of me or any of the other sales guys up here.

There's no way to properly compare a stock casting to a aftermarket casting head. the aftermarket casting heads have so many advantages its not a good comparison.

If your looking for a max effort 3.9" bore head look at the PRC 227 heads. They move HUGE air on a 3.9" bore & power the fastest stock bottom end car in the country.

if your on a budget then look to the AI or PRC cnc ported LS6 heads. That is a comparison that makes more sense.

The PRC heads are fully cnc ported, come with PRC springs, manley valves, and get cnc valve job from newen seat & guide machines.

Absolutely nobody offers a LS head built with better components or machinery than the PRC heads.

We absolutely stand behind our heads so much that we are constantly sending our heads out to magazines for cylinder head shootouts. Side By Side testing is the best way to determine which heads are top performers

We've made 469rwhp 346 Boltons,PRC 215 with mild cam on GTO after that owner went with TSP 414ci with same head and LS7R cam made 529rwhp

I had nothing but awesome results from all TSP products.
