Default Hypertech Programmer Hack

Hi I've hacked my Hypertech Power Programmer III for 1995 Camaro/Firebird and 94-95 Corvettes. I can program any number of PCM's - has anyone ever read of anyone else doing this ??

Most of us understand it is a piece of junk more often documented to slow cars down than to make them faster.

Next time put your effort into finding out IF a part is worthwhile.

LOL I can't argue with that, but I'm also sure someone else is gonna wanna see a modified bin file outta curiosity - you should not be so hasty as to write something off as having no value until you've taken a close look yourself.

I will not comment on your bad attitude.

I have been on various LT1 based forums for over a decade, Hell I have owned LT1Edit and or Tunercat for over a decade. I have seen the hypertech changes to a .bin file and have seen the majority of guys who back to back tested against stock then ebay the hypertech. Even used they generally cost as much as an entry level mailorder tune which is better the vast majority of the time.

I been doing mail order tuning since the late 90's and this toy is great !! I can load maps into it, and take it where I'm going. It sure makes transmission programming easy too!

no, actually I can load anything into it that I like, not to mention programming shift points and pressures couldn't be easier.

So you are uploading your own tables to it for it to install. Sounds to me like this is a lot more complicated than just using a netbook or laptop. Other tuners already have small DIY handheld programers to ship to customers. So either you want to use cracked Hypertechs to get into that market or you just wanted an interesting challenge.

you got it - it's a handheld that I can program with your tune and your VIN before I ship it
of course I have a customer base so it's mainly just for people I know - then I don't have to send them a cable with an upload utility and answer the phone when the questions start - best of all they're dirt cheap

Wow bunch of ******* dicks here.

Good job man. Anything that can help out this community, even in the simplest and smallest form such as a quick minor tune, is great for everyone. There are plenty of people that strictly want CAGS delete, fan temps, and minor mods like this. Even being able to load full tunes without someone hooking up a laptop is great. Keep it simple for the people afraid of using full tuning software and laptops.

Once again thanks and congrats.

this handy utility will get you past the VIN lock on your Htech

http://jumbofiles.com/q7135e2ff0fy

you could also use it in conjunction with TunerproRT for free scanning and tuning....

Thats pretty cool. I always wondered why there isn't a bigger market for hackers when it comes to car tuning. Not that I am encouraging, I realize the sponser put a lot of work into their product. I'm just saying with how simple it is to commit CC fraud, rip a SSN, or bank account these days, it's hard to belive that people actually have to PAY for car tuning software....

I'm sure I will get flamed or start a war over that. Not trying to start any crap. Just my observations.

Default 16188051 Flash and VIN Chage Utility

when it stops working just reinstall - live long and prosper ;0

http://jumbofiles.com/6aai55poz9nf

(it's the download link in the small regular text folks - those big flashy buttons are why jumbofiles is a free service - it's there)

wanna use your Htech unit on a "replacement" PCM - just plug your VIN into the other PCM - you're welcome, but sayin' thanks is always appreciated
