Default Is a 212/218 Low Lift cam to big for a E85 turbo 4.8L?

I found a deal on the truck low lift cam and I'm wondering if this is too much cam for a Turbo 4.8 running E85??

Would I have to get new push rods or LS6 springs with it??

My current plan is a single turbo (twins later on), 4.8L, ls2 intake, 92mm tb, stock heads (799 heads later on)..

I also need help / sizing for injector and waterpump with ls2 intake...

I dont think I have a goal... But if I had to say, it would be about 700 to the wheels.... I think that is possible with a 76MM.... (I know a lot of guys with high horse power and I would like to race a couple of them, just to "shut them up" if you know what I mean...

I think the cam would work pretty well, and I would run it if it was mine.

I also think it would work well depending on the lsa? I'm gonna guess it's a 114lsa being a truck cam.

I'd install it at 112 icl and have at it.

I would run a little stiffer spring than the yellow's with boost. Id go with the Isky 165A's, pac 1218's, or the comp single. Although a good set of pushrods wouldn't be a bad idea I run stock pushrods with more lift and same springs. If using ls7 lifters you might need a little shorter than stock length pushrod.

If you run the dual springs I would upgrade the pushrods.

Comp 918's will be fine as stock48 said.

Hey stock 48 and junkie, I read something about the Comp 918's were bad with breaking or going bad at one time or another... I can get the duals for $100. Only used for 4 months in a daily driver, not a track car. Im kind of iffy about the comp 918's because of that issue.

With my 212/218 low lift cam, what push rods would you recommend? I had not planned on changing lifters out, as you mentioned the LS7 lifters... But would that be a good idea with this cam?

(In possession: 4.8L, 706 heads, LS2 intake, 92MM TB, 212/218 low lift cam (but should have gone bigger),

(Planning on getting: 76MM turbo, with intercooler, maybe 799 in the distant future. I hear LS9 head gaskets thrown around a lot.. why is that, what is so special about them?)

700-800 Streetable weekend car is my goal.

Yes use the 3346 plugs.

They are more commonly known as BR7EFS.

That was an issue that I'm pretty sure they addressed. You could use a PAC 1518 spring if you wanted, but as stock said if you use the stiffer duals you'll want to upgrade the PR's.

LS9 gaskets were designed from GM to withstand boost from the ZR1. They are a superior gasket for stock applications when it comes to forced induction.
