Default Intake question

Will a LS2 intake bolt to a stock LS1 motor? If so are there any advantages to foing this. any intake boost or additional power?

It will, but you won't gain anything. And you will have to buy a new tb.

You will gain a little from a LS2 and 90+TB if your still running a LS1 intake.

If I wer you I would just buy a LS6 intake(they flow better and gain more) and port and polish your stock TB.

The cost of a NW 90+TB is what you can get a used LS6 for.

Idk how much your getting the LS2 intake for but you can P&P your TB for free! Or send it in.

LS6 P&P TB>LS2 92TB

I would go with the LS6 setup... better gain

No...not at all. You will gain nothing more than can be attributed to dyno variance. The Ls2 intake sucks.

The LS2 manifold is a notably worse piece than the LS6 manifold.

Absolutely not worth it, the LS2 intake is about the worst one out there for these motors. To make matters worse, you also need some extra parts in order to make it fit properly I believe, such as fuel rails, injectors, TB, etc.

thanks alot. i would love a fast 102 but dont have the $$ for it... i found a few on auction but they quickly went to the $700 mark or higher with several days left. i found a few LS6 intakes without EGR(from what they say) for around 300...guess ill be patient and keep looking. thanks again

^^^ wel the only LS6 intake that HAS a EGR hole is the SLP LS6...

The Corvette LS1 has no EGR hole. So beat way to spot a LS6 intake is by part number... Or the Flat bottom.
