Is it normal for the gas pedal to have so much slack? well I can pick my gas pedal up with my hand so easily, my 05 altima is so stiff I can't even move it at all so is this something normal on LSX based cars??

If not how exactly do you adjust it? I did search and found a thread but kind of confusing, if anyone could explain how to adjust it, my car has TCS so I know its different than non-TCS based cars

Not all cars can be snugged with adjusters alone. If that
fails, you remove the gas pedal arm, stick it in a bench
vise and grief on it with a pice of pipe to get another
inch or so of matted draw length.

The "normal" procedure for getting slack out of the throttle cable is for when your throttle blade does not open fully...not for you being able to pull you pedal towards the seat. This is where you are getting confused. If you have the pedal all the way down and your throttle blade is all the way open (hitting the bumpstop) then you dont have any issue.

Right. But I've seen cars where you can adjust all you
want and the blade won't pull past 80% open. Then it's
bring the pipe.

You just unsnap the keeper "C", pull the ends apart until
you feel resistance or see the cable cam try to move,
and give it just enough slack that the blade stays on the
seat, then snap the keeper back flush.

There are two adjusters on my TCS+cruise car, one
is useful and one is not (for the cruise, who cares?).

I have a 2001 Z28 with TCS and cruise...I went from a 92mm TB back to stock and now I have way too much slack in the cable. Like you, I have one adjuster that works but I cant get enough of the slack out. It was fine before the 92mm, no slack. Go back to stock, now I have slack and cant get it out. My only option is to bend the pedal?

You can put washers where the end of the cable goes through the pedal. You can use lock washers which have a split in them to get them around a the cable.

Does it work? Absolutely.
Ghetto? Probably.

Zip ties on the throttle cable where it connects to the gas pedal.

My truck has this same issue. Previous owner installed a TB spacer and when I removed it I found my pedal has too much slack. Enough the trans won't downshift properly sometimes.

Lock washers won't stay even after trying to crimp them on with pliers. I might try to zip tie handicap until I can get time to pull the pedal and bend it as Jimmy suggested which is how I had to fix the Chevelle to get WOT after the ls1 swap.

Works like a champ. A little ghetto perhaps but whatever, it works. Deleted TCS and cruise and the new cable was a little long. I only needed about an 1/16 of an inch if that so this seemed the best solution.
