Default any guesstimate on torque with gears & stall ?

Hey guys, I got a new fuel pump installed, car runs wicked now. Used to not drive it much. Car is a 94 TA with 2800 stall, 373's, hollow kitty, tuned with HPP, for gears only, 245/50/16's, and a after market air filter. Any guess on the equivalent HP and torque now ? etc.........

Sorry guys, let me clarify the question. I have not driven the TA for quite some time, due to the fuel pump issue. Now that it has a new pump, I'll be using the car more. What I meant was, how much torque do you think it has, with a 2800 stall and 373's, compared to stock stall with 273's, due to the added torque multiplication ?

Itll just accelerate better Still has the same horsepower & torque as before LoL Gears & a stall will make it feel meaner BUT its not like you added a 150 shot of nitrous or a supercharger

In the butt torque is the only torque you're gaining.

Okay......if it accelerates faster ............due to the stall and gears, what is the " guess " of what it would be, as in an equivalent or similation of HP & torque ? ..........I assume we all agree the overall 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile ET would be quicker than a stock set-up. As one of the comments said, it would feel like a 150 shot, so what would a 150 shot on a stock set up do to 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile ET ?...........same concept, different mechanism.

LoL I said its not like you installed a 150 shot!!! A 2800 stall isnt that big Most guys do a 3200 to 3600 stall!!! Your goin in the right direction, Take it to the track & find out!! If your still all stock other than those mods itll run around a 14 second 1/4 mile Bout the same as a 3.23 or 3.42 geared car

Same hp/tq as a stock lt1. The car is gonna be able to use the power a little better now that's about it. Only way to tell is take it to the track.

Pretty much sums it up. The way to look at this is the difference in the work it takes to move the same mass with different sized levers. You force a short lever to move the mass it will move slower than if you were to apply that same force with longer lever. Throughout this ordeal you maintain the same strength, but with a longer lever you will move a mass quicker and more efficiently.

..... OK guys, let me re-word this..........If you have an OEM LT1 with factory motor, stall and gears ( 1800 and 273 ), compared to another LT1 OEM motor, but with 2800 stall and 373's, there will be a quicker 0-60 and 1/4 ET for the car with 2800 and 373's. Although no actual hp is said to be gained, torque is gained, due to the added torque multiplication, due to higher stall and gears. I understand the comment regarding gears as levers, but the torque convertor, by its very name, generates torque, a higher stall, more torque. I think we all know torque is a word used to describe turning or twisting force, correct ?...............So, with that understanding, what I was trying to ask is what is the guess of how much additional torque, and arguably HP ( due to torque and horsepower relationship ), has been created , due to higher stall and gears ?

Torque isn't gained... It may FEEL like it has more torque but if you put it on a dyno it will be the same. What are you looking for someone to tell you? How much it will put you in your seat after said mods? Take the thing to the track!

Dude. Just stop. A torque converter and gears do nothing to actually give you extra horsepower. They change the rear-end gearing which lowers the speed per rpm but raises the effective leverage. Torque convertors dictate what rpm the transmission turns in relation to the engine (ie the trans turns at 1100rpm while the engine turns at 2800).

In fact the higher stall may have killed a couple of horses and a few foot pounds of torque.
