I have a 2000 Trans Am (non ws6) with the OEM ws6 hood and I was looking into induction systems. I currently have an SLP Lid with smooth bellow and I have narrowed it down to the JAAM system that used the 4 hood vents with the WS6 hood or the chris1313 non ac system.

Does anyone have any recommendations? They sell for about the same as well..

I have no experience with the JAAM, but I do with the chris1313 NON-AC...I love it and at low speed you can hear that ***** sucking air! Fit and finish is pretty good. No track times for comparison as I have been sorting out several other issues before I head back to the track. You definitely cannot run this with an AC condenser, but I am already guessing that won't be an issue for you either

I have chrs1313 AC version, on idle you can hear that thing sucking air it's badass. I pulled harder after the ram air on high roll pull vs my buddy termi now than it was before.

i asked myself the same question. after reading about both systems i made the conclusion that the chrs1313 setup has a much better chance at actually creating a ram-air effect. given the locations, i think the chrs1313 setup is the obvious winner. i bought the non ac one and removed the necessary parts. i have no track times, but simply racing other cars has shown a big improvement. went from losing by a car to pulling a car on the same vehicle (with him removing more weight the second time).

Definitely think the chris1313 system is the winner.. And I am already removing my AC anyways

Since you have a ws6 good why don't you just take out the water baffles and seal it to the intake lid...that's what I did : )

The high pressure area under the car is still more effective than the nostrils on the hood with regard to ramair setups...

Non of the setups are going to be worth more than a few horsepower. So I wouldn't burn too much money on any of them or chop up your car too much for it.

I did the free mod and I get enough grass and bugs stuck in my filter to know it's getting more than enough air that bypasses the ac condenser and the radiator. IMO, definantly not worth all the money to put a system on the car. Just my .02

I had the free ram air before my chrs 1313. I too constantly had bugs in my filter with tthe FRA. Oddly enough after switched to chrs 1313 non AC my filter is staying cleaner than before. No bugs and not really as much dirt either.. Can def feel a difference, cool to hear it suck air when you hammer it

yes those are custom made setups. there was a member on here that was producing them and selling them, that exact setup i believe. there was a thread on it showing he picked up over 2 mph in the 1\4 with it over a lid setup and i believe with a ram air setup as well? i could be wrong on the ram air setup tho. the filter is this one

then you need a 4" silicon coupler,the piping is 4" and just a 90* bend, make sure you get a long enough length. then the radiator shroud would have to be custom made. thats where i am now. it seems its just sheetmetal and you have to figure out how to get the bends in it. i was thinking a siding brake would do it but i dont have one or know anyone that does lol. once you have it bent the way you need it you drill holes in the top for the rubber grommets to secure to the radiator and in the middle you cut out for the piping. you also have to notch the top of the radiator i believe.

There is indeed and AC version of the Chris1313 system.

I have the Chris1313 on my car and there was a noticable difference in the butt-dyno at ~70+. I didnt expect it to make that much of a difference, but it was huge. Cant comment on the JAAM.
