Hey fellas, wondering if anyone has used a Magnum 80mm yet? Just looking to see what kind of power numbers guys are making with it.

why spend on a magnum when you can get 2 or 3 Chinese turbos

im going to dyno soon non intercooled, and see the difference and if my intercooler was a restriciton, but truth be told as of right now it doesnt seem to make anymore power than a 260 dollar gt45...

at least in my experience.

yeah i see this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CXRacing-GT4...ffecf6&vxp=mtr

is exactly what i have, mine just says magnum on it.

if i can make much more power without the intercooler it might have been worth it.

but honestly i wish i had just built a twin gt45 kit or something rather than drop 1100 on this thing

Yea I pretty sure it is the same exact turbo as the Magnum, It has the same cover and turbine housing and the turbine and compressor have the exact same specs. This turbo should most definitely make more power than my 76/65 on3

read this thread and compare the magnum specs to the specs of the ebay version. And look at pics of them both. They are visually identical and the specs are also identical

If you look close at the turbine housing they ground the numbers off

It says this in the add right under the cars in the pic. But who knows...

"High Quality Built product. Each Turbo is individually tested and computer balanced."

im sure my builds are not the greatest thing to test this turbo with, rob says it flows 110lbs a minute wich shouod be able to squeeze out 1000flywheel i would think, or 800+rwhp,

and its getting there, maybe if i had ported heads, and a fast intake, and could keep a motor alive for long enough hahah

but im still learning
