Default new ls1 for a zr2

ok guys so im pretty new to owning an ls1 and i picked up a 99 camaro motor off craigslist for $1500 with 80k ish miles im going to be putting it in a 2000 zr2 blazer but before i do that i will need to get a stock throttle body and maf which brings me to my question are all ls mafs and tbs compatible with each other? and will any other ls tbs bolt up to the ls1 intake? if upgrading the intake which ls intake works best with a stock 5.7 ls1?

If you want a great low price intake go with a LS6 intake, its a bang for the buck mod for a LS1. As far as I knoe everything could be compatible.

LS1 MAFs can be 3 pin (with separate IAT sensor) or 5 pin with itegrated IAT and MAF.

If you choose to use anything other than the 3 wire maf if your using the 99 camaro PCM dont forget to have the proper maf table flashed into the pcm.

If you need a plug and play harness for your application I can acconmodate you on that.

The LS6 intake is a great mod. The ls1 drive by cable throttle bodies are all compatible. You can even use the truck throttle body on the car intake. But you should be able to find a throttle body for a reasonable price, they are a dime a dozen.

The 2002 Silverado would be a 5 pin. Throttle body can be from any 1999 to mid 2003 truck (and various express van) or 1998 - 2002 Camaro.

ls2 throttle body won't work. It's a 4 bolt, a ls6 intake is a 3 bolt intake. Most all truck intakes were 3 bolt until 04+ when they started to do drive by wire, then they went 4 bolt intakes.

If you need any help I have done this swap in my 2003 zr2 with a lq9. PM me if you have any questions, lucky for you you can now buy mounts/headers/oilpan from CPW, when I did my swap there was nothing available for me.

Here's my swap on zr2usa: you may want to consider posting there or on s10 forum, they can help you more.

It took me two times before they approved it. I'd try it again, once I sent it in the second time I have it 3 days and wrote them an email asking why it wasn't approved.
