i was thinking about ordering these for the bang for the buck, seems cheap..

and there is a 2 guys locally that will make and install for just under 200..

is it absolutly worth getting a 3 point style setup?

That's a great price and others have Founders parts on their fbody. I personally have UMI bolt-ons on my TA and I'm pretty happy. A 3 point brace will be a little stronger but I think a basic 2 point is good enough. IMO, $200 seems a little high for installation.

Those Founders seem very good. Alot of times people just go with the 3point style SFCs that way they wont ever have to change from a 2 to a 3point. Do you drag race a lot? If not then just go with a 2point, should be more than enough.

the only things the car will see is daily driving, stop light races, and the occasional track or street spot visit.

and 200 was for a set to be MADE and installed. not just for installation

also with those founders SFCs is a t-top car considered a "hard top" ????

Yea when Founders, Spohn, Umi, BMR, etc talk about 'hard top' they are talking about Ttops cars too. The supports for convertibles are different, I don't know how much cause I never owned one.

All the SFC's from the fbody suspension specialists seem to be good, I have Spohn, guy on here just bought Founders. Umi and BMR are top of the line from what I hear but may cost a little more. It's all good stuff.

thanks for the reply from what I see the BMR is the way to go ive already go a BMR strut tower brace and love it might as well spend 150$ and get them I think it should make the feel of the car feel a lot more responsive

Bolt-in connectors will not keep(or reduce) a chassis from flexing. I can go on and on about the reasons why but there are may benefits from weld-in type and SFC's that actually connect the subframes together. SFCs that bolt to the outside of the LCA bracket at the rear and some only connect the front to the front floor cross brace are not connecting the real subframes of the car and are most likely not doing anything but adding weight to the car.

Personally when I'm ready to do SFCs I'm going MWC. It won't be for a while however as I'm doing more important suspension items this year (shocks, springs, ball joints, bushings, rear LCAs, etc), mostly because all that stuff is worn out on my car.

A little over 102k. Sounds and feels like I'm going to leave something behind when I go over bumps and it likes to wander around the road a bit Previous owner drag raced it and all the bushings and stuff are original, so they're really toast. I have a pile of parts in my living room waiting to go in.

I like my MWC connectors. Had UMI boxed weld in but never installed. After seeing how MWC fit and where the connect compare to other brands I just flat out agree with Eric at MWC the tie the car better than any others out there.
