I know that you can put the LS1/6 motors into the Factory Five Cobra replicas..........lotta folks have done that. Don't know about any other brands of replicas though.

Default Blown Chevy 350 Cobra

I helped my good friend build a 1967 427 SC Cobra replica (they get mad when you call 'em kit-cars) with a blown Chevy 350 in it and a Muncie M22 trans. He's my next door neighbor now, and he's got a different Cobra 427 SC today with a real Ford 427 side oiler in it.

If that massive boat anchor fits, anything should fit, providing the repli-car frame is like the traditional dual tubular frame rail construction in the REAL Cobras. Factory Five is even better, their frame design has even MORE room.

just did that!
I've had a 5.0Mercedes Engine with a 4-speed in it, all I wanted was a 6-speed, but to convert the tranny to make it fit to an Mercedes engine would have cost me almost the same what I paid for a used LS1-T56 combo!!!
To put the LS1-engine into my Cobra was a piece of cake, since the Mercedes has overhead cams, the LS1 is not as wide as the Mercedes, it is also about 4inches shorter, which gave me the opportunity to put the Motor 4inches farther back so I have a little more wheight on the rear wheels.
The problem was the tranny, its much longer and wider than the 4speed, so I had to cut the trans-tunnel out to make it bigger.

dont put anything else in your Cobra than a LS1 or LS6!!!

my car wheighs about 2000lbs, acceleration is just awesome!!!!

Damn dude, that is one looking ride.
Nice to see someone go with something other then the traditional (which also looks good) blue w/white stripe paint combo on a Cobra.

BTW, that rear suspension looks IRS I presume?
