Default Flowmaster 1 chamber flow #s? sound?

i know flowmasters flow like crap, but i love the metalic rasp they give. so i was wondering if anyone knew anything about the 1 chambers? they would have to flow better than the 80 series. right? i just wanted to put a single 3 in, 3 out where the stock muffler is. i wonder how loud it would be? i have macs with no cats and even with the cutout open i dont think it is too loud, just kinda ugly sounding(not tuned). but i think the 1 chamber would probably make it sound much better without hurting performance? thanks

i have Hooker LT's, 10" extensions and two 1 chambers for a true dual. no h or x pipe either. sounds incredible. WOT is amazing, but it is loud. w/ my tp4400 stall and 3.23's gears, it gets really loud. when the converter locks up and normal cruising, it isn't all that loud either, and i have no carpet and no interior. i love it and have no regrets.

i have the 3" versions. if you look under the car, you can see where you can tuck them up there nicely. passenger side is tucked up in where the cat usually went, and driver's side is a little further back and outwards more. i made some brackets to hold them from moving and i get no knock retard anymore. as for dimesions, including the inlet/outlet, they were like 12" by 12". they are small!!!

GerogeC has them on his Z28 and I saw him run a 10.4 at Silver Dollar Raceway. He said the car was not hooking right. So they flow fine I think. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> He has the 3" diameter mufflers that are only 6 or 6.5" long. They sounded mean on his car, but he has a big cam, headers, no cats, etc.
Should sound bad *** on a mild LS1.
