How much does weight effect 1/4 mile et?
Is there a conversion for weight to et? I think I remember reading that every 100 lbs will add .1 of a second to the et. Is that true?

remember that sprung versus unsprung weight will yield different results.
For example 100 lbs lighter on wheels and tires, combined with rolling resistance, could give .15-.20 in e.t. difference.
100 lbs is close to 1 tenth, but as mentioned, faster cars see less of a gain than slower cars will.

Doesn't matter if the weight is sprung vs. unsprung. I'm not sure where that rumor started from but its simple physics.
Lighter rotating parts help more than lighter static parts..
like wheels, drive shaft, disc's.. etc..
