Default how many qurts does the lt1 take???

this many be a dame question but the guy i work with said that u r soppost to put 6 in......he has a 95 ta!! i thought it was 5! what the #????? thanks

thank you!!! thats what i though.....i changed my oil and used the molbe one...the 5 qurt juge......dave (the retard that works with) said that it took 6 and thats what puts in his car!!

I agree that most oil changes only take 5 quarts of oil. But, if the vehicle has been sitting for a long time and most of the oil has been able to drain into the pan, I could see the sixth. This happened to myself, but it was 5.5. My two cents............

ill give you this piece of advice. start with four then crank it up. let it run then check it. if its low add another quart. having just 4 quarts isnt going to hurt the engine but if you put too much then your screwed. this is one case where more is worse. it a whole lot harder to take it out than to put more in.

opps looked at map, thats about 2 hours south (still hauling the mail)

my GF drives faster, one time she left me in boca and called my 45 min later from the house

If you over fill just crawl your *** under the car and drain a QUART out. MOBIL 1 is a good choice of oil, alot of PEOPLE use it. It may sound DUMB but your SUPPOSE to ask questions if you do not know!! DEERFIELD BEACH is a nice place looking forward to VACATIONING there in Florida this summer myself.

ya i know it was 5 but just making sure....my oil light didnt come on soo i new i was right......i have some pics from deerfield and boca i will post some sooo!!!

How much oil if the oil cooler as well as the cooling lines have been emptied?

The only way to get all of it out there would be to use a Pela or similar pump evacuation method, right?

God when I went to Florida in the Orlando area with my GF and her parents, people drove SO freakin slow.
