Intake Manifold Bolt Thread Sealant? help??
Just wondering what everyone is using on the threads of thier intake manifold bolts. Some say blue loctite and some say use a thread sealer. Forget which one ls1howto says, but i think the service manual says to use some sort of sealer compound?

Use teflon paste thread sealant....That works the best, but any type of non-hardening sealer would probably be OK.
The teflon paste should be available at most auto parts stores etc.

"Apply threadlock GM P/N 12345382 or equivalent to the threads of the intake manifold bolts."
12345382 is Permatex Medium Strength Threadlocker Blue p/n 24206.
