valve springs on 305 heads!!

Default valve springs on 305 heads!!

I am building a .40 over 350 with a pair of oem 305 heads on them and the guy wants to put a cam and i was wondering how much the factory valvesprings can handle?

depends on the year i would think, im pretty sure they arent built to handle much more than .525 at most i would think

They can't handle that much I don't think. The factory 305 cam is like .395 lift if I recall correctly. I doubt the factory springs can handle it, LT1 springs won't even handle .525 good stock

well i know that the 305 tpi and the 350 tpi used the same cam and im pretty sure it was bigger than .395 lift.. but like i said it would probably depend on the year and what the car came with
