Damn I can't even see how it exits. Nice Job though, I've always been curious about that.

For the exhaust to get into the center section and the inlet to the tailpipes, it must either go through the tiny louvers, or through the four small holes in either wall of the center section.

I would like to see what removing all the insides will sound like. IIRC Jesse James did that on an el camino on Monster Garage one time. Should save you some $$$ if your on a budget. Might be a way to stick an electric cutout in there and mod it some to get it fit. If I had more free time id prolly try something like that just for fun. Im going to try something like that since im running a stock muffler on my car now.

that stock OEM muffler sure does a good job of quieting my car down to dead stock. i've had some guys ask me if i sold my 355 motor and went back to stock. it freaks me out how much of a difference the muffler makes over my cutout. I always get older guys ask me if i have a "quarter cam", whatever that is, but I just tell em that its a custom grind with mid .500 lift. they act like its the biggest cam in the world and ask me how i can drive the car on the street with that size cam? It provides the best of both worlds, mild to wild!

yeah, lol when was putting my motor back together a couple weeks ago, some older guys were asking me the same question, you got a quarter cam, or three quarter cam? i was like sorry too young to know what you mean by that,lol...

but i have notice that since i put in my cam..the car seems a lil louder inside and out, than before

Holy ****. This has finally convinced me: that piece of junk needs to come off my car. Horrible.

Anyone ever try putting a Magnaflow muffler on their car? Just the muffler, not the catback. Saw it online for $90, seems like it's worth a shot. I really want a deep tone from my exhaust. That, and better flow, which from the looks of these pictures can't be that hard to achieve.

Go ahead if you want some sound outa the car. I bought my car with a flowmaster muffler only. Heck, it's laying around if you want to buy it cheap.

Hey:

the_merv, what is your new car, just transfering the old motor and tranny or a whole new build?

The Merv - is that a moroso spiral flow? if so...good choice!

I have flowmaster on my car, I actually like the sound of it, most people do like the sound of it just not the performance. I opted to go with a manual cutout for the track. cheaper then a new catback and way less restrictive.
