Buddy of mine bought a car(Nissan Maxima) with locking lugs and is going to get a wheel/tire package off of tire rack.(no need to go to the shop). How do you get those things off??? He already went to the dealership and they said its an aftermarket lug lock and they didn't have a key.

Theres a kit on ebay you can get that you use an impact gun to get them off with. I had a similar issue and took it to the local tire place and they took em off for me for 1 buck lol.

I had the dealership remove mine. They charged me quite a bit of money for it. I was pissed but what do you do? I didn't think it would cost as much as it did. Just hammer an old socket on there and get them off that way.

go to sears they sell a set 0f 2 sockets they are like a cone on the inside you hit them on with a hammer and put a impact on it. thats what all the shops use when there is no key

If you have access to a welder, weld on another lugnut then zip zam zoom they're off.

I've used an air hammer (be carefull), old 12 point sockets hammered on, and The removal tools. All work well.

wanna know the easiest way? use one of those locking adjustable wrench type things. I had to do that on my buddies svt lightning when he blew a tire out. just get it on there real tight, and twist the wrench to get er' loose.

Menards and sears have sockets made for removing those and stripped out bolts. you hammer them on and then remove with a breaker bar. They work great.

Yep, I've used the air hammer. But, You really dont wanna do that with rims you really care about.

Find a 12 point socket slightly smaller than the locking lug nut outer diameter and beat it on with a hammer. Use a breaker bar and back them off. Just did this on my wife's neon. Work like a champ.
