high rpm popping lt1 I have a 94 lt1 formula, and recently I will hear a repeditive popping noise at 4k rpm and above. it also seems to fall on its face a little, but it dosent always "pop". it will only do this under load.

the car has 160000 miles on it, i am going to try and replace the plug wires first, a long time mechanic rode with me and said it was more like cross firing and not pinging or detonation.

if i do need to replace the opti, are they all created equal? stock gm replacement or msd or accel or jegs? how will i know thats the problem and not something else like maybe the coil or plugs?
