Default Found these exhaust tips at autozone...

I'll probably hear a lot of **** for this... but what the hell...

I was walking through one of the aisles and happened to glance over when I noticed these tips... I started looking at it, and it's similiar to the Mecham tips and would fill in the TA rear bumper holes pretty good... can't beat the price of $44 each...

***EDIT***
check out post #34 for a nicer version!!!!

+1. It appears that it would fill in the area ok but it looks like you are getting more tip than what is needed with that big oval piece that is used to just hide the round pipe.

Well they don't look to bad for a firebird, but would be horrible on a camaro. Throw them on and take some pics.

it's actually welded in there... otherwise they would be exactly like the Mecham tips...

if i remember correctly i think these are meant for Denali's/Tahoe's.... from what the tag said... but a tip is a tip so I don't think it would matter what car it went on... as long as you could get the inlet diameter to match up...

hmmmm... i wonder how much it would cost, or where i could take em for a nice polish job or chroming...

it looks like they tried to make it a resonator tip with the hollow oval part on the outside of the round pipe. strange... I'm personally gonna pick up some C6 Vette tips and throw em on.

The middle round piece in there is so the bigger outside part of the tip that you see does not turn blue. When stainless heats it get a small bluish tint on the end of the tip and thats what the middle piece eliminates.

It looks like the wide pipes were slipped over some straight pipes. Like a half *** tip job. And they kinda look like that transformer shockwaves head.

I looked at these in passing, but it would be pretty ghetto to have one of those bolts back out and lose one of your "tips" on the highway.
