Default OBD1 to OBD2 conversion

whats all needed to do this? new computer and sensors? would i need to re-do the entire engine sensor wiring too?

I don't have crap for GOOD OBD1 tuners in my area, all have gotten into the LS1 tuning w/ the OBD2 stuff, I'd like to be able to use them to tune the car.

Any help is appriciated.

-Ben

Hp Tuners WILL NOT work with an LT1 pcm. A swap to OBDII won't help you really at all.

I use freescan on my laptop for my 94. I will be switching to Datamaster though. It still needs a cig. lighter if your laptop battery isn't very good.

As far as I know you can only tune an OBDII LT1 PCM with TunerCat OBDII...which was sold to JET. So unless you can find someone with TunerCat OBDII the other option is to buy JET's software.

I talk with a lot of LT1 guys and finding a tuner who wants to touch an LT1 car is not easy these days.

Jet DST and LT1 Edit are your only two options for tuning OBD-II LT1's right now...

You need to check out Tunerpro RT V5 Beta. It works with LT1's now and has built in data logging. Much better than free scan, fully customizable. You can actually make it show more data than datamaster. No way am I paying for datamaster now that I have this.
