Default Twin turbo ls1 in 72 Cutlass

Here's a pic of a friends twin-turbo ls1 in his 72 Cutlass we recently finished. This pic was taken at the Turkey Rod Run at Daytona a few weeks back. Just a street car to have fun with. Twin 42mm turbos, stock ls1, 12 lb's of boost, T-56. We fabbed up the log-style headers, all the tubing into / out of the intercooler, the intake elbow on the Edelbrock intake converted to fuel injection. He's building a 455 ci LS motor to drop in and have some more fun with it. Check it out.

I'll have more pics soon for ya. For some reason this computer here is giving me issues. And hopefully some test numbers soon too. He's getting his computer back from re-wiring and then we're gonna take it to Speedworld to get some track times once they reopen in January I believe

Nice looking setup, I'm a big fan of LSX's in A-bodies. Hope to do one myself years down the road.

Do you think that engine is going to live long on 12 pounds of boost?

Not sure, LOL!
He's building a 455 ls stroker as we speak which will handle more boost also. This one is just in there to get it going so later he can just drop in the new motor. I think it'll handle 12 though. We have a shop Procharged 98 LS! vette that has had 13 lbs. of boost since 1999 and it hasn't skipped a beat. Plus on the Cutlass, we installed a huge Aeromotive fuel system, so fuel won't be a concern on this motor or the next one.

Guess we'll find out when he takes it to the track here when it reopens in January!
