Oil pressure gauge reading sky high
My oil pressure indicator, both digital and mechanical, is reading 130 psi. Is that the sending unit? The car runs fine, no noise or anything. Anyone have any ideas? By the way, it's a 99 corvette.

After a hot day yesterday, I was having some heat issues, I was getting to around 244. But no running problems. Today, I take her out for a drive and notice I no longer have power steering and my oil pressure guages maxed out and was readinng 130 on the Driver info Center. WTF....

Be sure to relocate it since you are in there. These little guys are notorious for being D.O.A.

I 2nd that motion.
If it's a SINGLE wire op sensor, then all you have to do is ground it with the key on, if the gauge reads 0 with it grounded, then bad sending unit.
If it's got more than one wire DO NOT GROUND ANY WIRES WITHOUT LOOKING AT A SCHEMATIC FIRST!
