Question lt1 lt4 intake

can i put a lt4 intake on a set of lt1 castings?

You could have them machined and welded by someone really really good at that kind of stuff but there would be no benefit whatsoever. If you have an LT4 intake you could use it on certain aftermarket cylinder heads or GM LT4 heads. Unless you have or plan on having heads that require the use of that intake you should just send it to me, besides I could use an extra.

The Lt4 intake (12550631) has identical runners to the late model LT1 intake (12552138). The Lt4 intake is not a performance upgrade for an LT1. It just has more material above the runners so that it will work with the LT4 heads.

Here is a pic GIZMO previously posted to show folks what he is saying.
If you machine the excess off the LT4 intake to make it fit LT1 heads you just ruined it as a LT4 intake and it has already been done to a lot of them because people blindly assumed it was an upgrade. At least you were smart enough to ask a question which should stop you from makign that same mistake.
