How to get moldy smell out of car that got rained in?

Well, my wife left the sunroof open for ~3 days in our H3, and of course, it rained all three nights. The interior smells like mildew/mold, how can I get the smell out? Do any of those odor absorbers work well? Something like this: http://www.battyshopper.net/airsponge.html

Any other ideas? I really don't like air fresheners, so I don't want to put 1000 pine scented pine trees in it, and the gasoline/match combo is out as well, lol.

I'm sure this has happened to someone else, any other ideas?

My camaro got rained in when i was at a concert. It smelled for about a week, i just parked it in the garage, and left the doors open, and had a fan set up blowing in. Got it out pretty well.

same problem here it rained and my seats got pretty wet when just opening the door to get in and out. couldnt really go dry them while it was raining but now the inside smells, i sprayed fabreez and sat a fan in there but that didnt do much?

Just be careful because even if the smell is gone the mold & mildew can still be growing in the seat foam & carpet pad. And that **** can be deadly if you breath it too long.

My car got rained in a month ago & I am completely replacing the seats & carpet.

i dont know much about the interior of them but the water may have soaked into the foam padding under the carpet, i would pull the carpet out and seats and make sure all of it is dry, and there is now standing water left. beyond that you would be amazed at what a dryer sheet can do.

If you have one or can borrow one for a couple of days I would try a dehumidifier. Put in the car roll all the windows up and let it run for awhile and see how that works.

Well, I'm not sure if you have already or not, but take a wet/dry vac and vacuum out as much water as you can, and then use towels to try to soak up anything else. Park it in the sun and open up the windows/sunroof and it will dry out. The smell is still there because the carpet/seats are still wet, once they are COMPLETELY dry, it should be gone. If it's not 100% gone, try febreze.

Definately pull the carpet out. At least replace the foam padding under the carpet. That stuff will mold/mildew and stink forever.
