C5R head history....racer only?
Was the C5R head racer only in '02? Anybody remember? Seems like I saw them for sale by Katech (used I know) and probably others.
What was special about the C5R head? Vein port which supposedly twists the intake charge? Sounds like BS to me. The intake ports look normal. Anybody know?

I seem to remember buying a set of used Katech heads from El Es One (?) in '02. And it seems like SCPC or some other GM pefermance dealer listed them on their site.

Here's an easy one. Were the first C5R engines 346 CI?
Bonus Points: who pioneered the C5R engine? Katech?
What is the biggest diffence in a LS1 piston and a C5R assuming same size engine?

Yes, but were early C5Rs 346? I don't think so because there has only been one C5R block and it was used to build 427s. Did the factory want a stouter 346? I don't think so.
