Valve spring.....less
Wonder will they be making anything for an LS any time soon ??

Could really open things up for wild cam profiles without worrying about springs

This is definitely not new... seems like thermal expansion would greatly affect a system like that, especially in an all aluminum powerplant like the LS engines. You'd be walking a tight rope between pounding the valve seats, and hanging the valves open. What about wear in the system? Then again I really don't know how it works....

Absolutely not new, motorbikes have been using the setup for years.
But something that could be retrofitted to an existing engine would be sort of new.

Thats a desmodromic valve train. Been around for a long long time, ducati has been using it in production since the 60's and in their race stuff for even longer
