Can anyone recommend a shop or person from this forum that you know is reputable to fix the service engine soon light. The scanner code it displayed is P0449. Napa auto cleared the code and i replaced the gas cap and it came back on. I took it to one shop and they couldn't figure it out and said the canister is operating fine.

This, nothing to do with a gas cap. Measure ohms of the vent solenoid, the most likely problem. It will either be really low or open, a lot of times you can just look at them and they will be visually messed up by corrosion. If not that, it may have a broken wire close to the solenoid.
