Most people are using the front mount to run a carb type engine with no ecu. We also used one on high hp LS engines before BS3 came out. With a FAST system the engine would start to missfire above 900hp and 5500 rpm. With the Jesel front mount dist and FAST system we could run clean over 1500hp/8000 rpm.

Yeah it's a cool setup for carbing a LS1, especially with a digital e dristibutor.

Yeah... The setup we ran last year had a carb on it but ran the MSD box. Going to turbo this year and figured the less the better as far as electronics since we will have so much other stuff to worry about. Dont think that MSD box will be very boost friendly. Kurt any advice to offer I'm sure you guys have seen just about everything and every combination. What problems did you run into with it?

We ran a 4X crank trigger with EFI still. I have never worked with a turbo/carb deal, but I would think a standard MSD 6 or 7 box with a 4X crank trigger would supply all the spark needed.

for this deal? I beleive there are spacers to mount it out farther, you can also do a spaced out belt too, but I'd just go electric.

Thanks Bret... We are already running an electric waterpump. SOmeone else threw up the idea of spacers. Sounds like thats what will have to happen.
