Default Trying to make a set of custom MSD wires...

Hi guys,

Not getting much usable help in external engines, So i figured I would ask you smart people

I would like to make a custom set of MSD 8.5mm wires for my coil pack relocation project.

Planing on using this wire: P/N MSD-34019
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Now I need to get boots and terminals for each end...

This is where I am having trouble... What boots and terminals do I need?

This is going to be used on a LSx engine (LS2 to be exact) with coil packs.

Part numbers or links would be AWESOME!!!

Thanks guys!

Two questions come to mind:

- Why are you relocating the coils?

- Where are you going to relocate them?

Question one: Getting new valve covers... New valve covers do not have a provision for coil pack mounts... (This is how I wanted it for a nice clean look)

Question two: My car is a GTO... They are going on the fender area.

I have made up several sets of MSD wires for LS1 coil relocations. The only luck I have had was to buy a set of unfinished MSD LT1 plug wires and crimp the spark plug end on myself. The Optispark distributor cap has the same connectors that the LS1 coils use. I highly recommend the MSD plug wire crimping pliers/tool - it makes it easy.If anybody else has a source for the LS1 coil connectors please speak up.

I have been doing a little more looking....

And I pulled this pic from Chrome and Performance's site:

Then I found these plugs at summit:

They look pretty similar... They say they are already assembled but I wonder how long they are...

Call MSD. They have a LS custom wire set that comes with exactly what you need. I don't know the part number off the top of my head.

The wires are pretty long and have a 90 degree boot on one end and a straight on the other. You just cut to length and add the coil ends.
